STOP HUNGER NOW event – Sunday May 19thfrom 6-8pm in Asbury Hall at Grove United Methodist Church (490 W Boot Road, WC). The Grove Church goal this year is to package 20,000 meals, our most ambitious goal yet. We will be packaging nutritious dehydrated meals of rice, soy, vegetables and essential vitamins and minerals. Delivery of these meals across the world realizes the STOP HUNGER NOW organization’s vision: “A world without hunger.”
Bring your willing hearts to lend a helping hand in making this happen. At the event, there will be plenty of fun jobs for people of all ages – children can participate too! There is plenty for all to participate.
Pizza will be available starting at 5:30pm in Asbury Hall.
Each meal costs $.25. To cover the cost of 20,000 meals, we need to raise $5,000. Along with your hearts and your hands, your donation would be most welcome also.
Last year we packaged the meals with 167 pairs of hands. This year our goal is even greater. Please join us in the fun of knowing how many people in our world this will help.

STOP HUNGER NOW!
“Close to a billion people - one-eighth of the world's population - still live in hunger. Each year 2 million children die through malnutrition. This is happening at a time when doctors in Britain are warning of the spread of obesity. We are eating too much while others starve.” —Jonathan Sacks |
